Daily Micros Health Check
Every morning it is the responsibility of the opening manager to complete the micros health check. This is to ensure that your POS is functioning in its full capacity before service to minimize issues while guests are in the building.
Following these simple steps at the beginning of your shift, preferably as soon as you start your shift.
- Check that micros terminals are functioning properly.
- Check that all terminals are on the normal operating screen
- Log into one of the terminals
- Create and send a check with a food and a bar item
- Check to see that item has printed to the bar
- Print a copy of the check from the terminal
- Check that KDS is functioning properly
- Check that all KDS devices are on and you can see the normal operating screen
- Make sure KDS is not showing a red x in the bottom right hand of the screen.
- Find order on expo KDS
- Find order on appropriate KDS station on the line
- Bump order and make sure expo printer is working.
Completing this process will ensure that you have a working POS at the beginning of service.
