Connecting and Disconnecting Outside Micros terminals
Micros terminals and should only be setup by a manager on duty. Be mindful of the weather when setting up outside terminals. The terminals should not be used in rain or snow. When disconnecting the terminals, bring in all power supplies. The only thing left outside is the power cord and data cable (labeled Main data).

Assembly:
Plug in the cables to the appropriate marked ports on the equipment.
The steps in which you do them is critical so following these exact steps are necessary:
- Plug in the Micros Data cord into the data slot on the terminal.
- Plug the Printer cord into the Printer port on the terminal.
- Plug the Micros Power cord into the Micros Power port on the terminal.
- If the terminal does not power on by itself, press the power button on the bottom right- hand side of the terminal.
- Plug the Printer Power cord into the Printer Power port on the Epson printer.
- Plug the EMV Data cord into the EMV Data port on the credit card reader cord.
- Plug the EMV Power cord into the EMV Power port on the credit card reader cord.

Once all connections are made, plug in all cables labeled data to the box labeled switch.
- Once completed, you will be seeing the standard Micros login screen on the terminal.
- Please test printing checks and attempt a payment before the start of service.
- If there is an issue with printing checks or processing payment, contact IT immediately.
Disassembly
At the end of the night, always disassemble the equipment and bring inside. The equipment should be stored safely in the manager’s office.
Follow the exact steps when disassembling the equipment for the night (reversing the exact steps of assembly):
- Hold the power button on the bottom right-hand side of the micros terminal for a few seconds and let it shut down.
- After the terminal has shut down, unplug the Micros Data cord from the data slot on the terminal.
- Unplug the Printer cord from the Printer port on the terminal.
- Unplug the Micros Power cord from the Micros Power port on the terminal.
- Unplug the Printer Power cord from the Printer Power port on the Epson printer (leave
printer data cord plugged into the printer).
- Unplug the EMV Data cord from the EMV Data port on the credit card reader cord.
- Unplug the EMV Power cord from the EMV Power port on the credit card reader cord.
- Store in managers office.
